Trek in the sahara desert south east of morocco & draa valley including morocain holyoud in ouarzazate city this traditional Mud Brick city on the edge of the High Atlas Mountains . It is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and has featured in many films, mostly as a replacement for Jerusalem.It has appeared in more than 10 movies, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.
ITINERARY & TREK DETAILS:
Trek in the Moroccan desert,
Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – the village of Mhamid in the desert,
Departure from Marrakech rather in the morning for the desert and for the Draa Valley and its many palm groves (8 hours of travel).
Towards the city of Ouarzazate stop for lunch, after arriving at the village Ouled Driss, mhamid
A walk around the village 1 hour
Meal and night at the Ouled Driss campsite,
Day 2: Trekking from Mhamid to Sidi Naji,
Meet our team of camel men,
Departure on foot in the desert.
Join the dunes of Sidi Naji between dunes and desert plateaus.
Lunch time
Our bivouac is in the heart of the Erg (dune), after a day of intense trekking in the Sahara desert.
Free time to explore the surroundings and enjoy the fabulous sunset

Day 3 – Trek from Sidi Naji to Erg Ezzahar:
Start the hike after breakfast to the magnificent dune of Erg Ezzahar.
Crossing a long desert plateau. This sea of sand dunes is spacious and offers
Enjoy the splendid view of the entire dried-up river of the Drâa. This is the real Sahara as we imagine it!
Night in a bivouac in the middle of the dunes, or sleeping under the stars (in summer, it is an option)

Day 4 – Trekking from Erg Ezzahar to Boughbra:
Trekking in the Dunes with magnificent landscapes
Cross of the Draa Valley with its palm trees and its amazing landscape
Lunch break with exploration of the desert vegetation
The afternoon hike continues towards the dunes where we set up camp
Join our bivouac during this trek
Enjoy the sunset on the dune and a good tajine for dinner under the stars.

Day 5 – Trek from Boughbra to Ouled Driss:
We leave the sand dunes of Boughbra for a hike to Oulad Driss.
Cross a varied landscape of the circuit including dunes, oases, villages
The nomadic atmosphere between simplicity and sharing this last evening in the desert.
The camp is located in the village of Oulad Driss where you can enjoy a hot shower
Duration: 4-5 hours of hiking
Meals: Full board
Accommodation: camping
Day 6 – Ouled Driss transferred to Marrakech:
After breakfast, we leave Ouled Driss towards Marrakech
Lunch on the road,
Crossing the High Atlas Mountains
Arrival in Marrakech in the early evening
Drop off at your hotel in Marrakech
